Concorso La Terra e il Vino
@ Enopolis 2010

A huge success for La Vota Menfi DOC 2007, that was presented at Enopolis 2010 - a renowned wine event in Catania - last Thursday 30th October, where a jury of Sicilian Sommeliers bestowed the Signature’s Wines Award on our Cabernet Sauvignon.

La Vota 2007 reflects its terroir in a truly amazing way: along the Belice River, where the soil is sandy and deep and the summer temperatures become milder thanks to the influence of the ocean’s breeze, our Cabernet Sauvignon gets its unique, unforgettable character.

The Mediterranean sea is for sure the element that has the greatest influence on all our wines: the vintage 2007 was one of the freshest in this decade, with a favourable weather trend that helped the grapes to concentrate acidity and delicate fruity aromas.

La Vota 2007 is a wine with both complexity and structure: its perfumes of blackberry and small red fruits are enhanced by a fresh balsamic feeling and by hints of chocolate and coffee. Its smooth and velvety tannins and its long and persistent finish are the perfect match for all rich meats, salami and matured cheeses.
